Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine has driven the world insane. Driven by US and British sanctions, the entire western world seems to be following gambling suit and putting some form of pressure on the country.

Top brands such as Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Apple, Nike, Dell, Spotify, Ford, Nissan and many other major international companies have stopped 에볼루션게이밍 trading in Russia. Some even withdrew from the country altogether. The gambling industry is amongst those who have shown their disdain for the atrocities committed over the past few weeks by the Kremlin.

PROMINENT GAMBLING BRANDS WITHDRAW THEIR SERVICES FROM RUSSIA

The online gambling industry has joined suit and some respectable names in the industry have withdrawn their services from Russia despite their legal licenses to operate there. Some of the big hitters include Bet365 Sportsbook, Parimatch, and PokerStars.

The poker site went through major regulatory changes in the country last year to accommodate Russia’s evolving stance on online gaming.

It launched its ‘Sochi’ site in 2021 but closed services to the public with immediate effect a few days ago. Bet365 is one of the largest sports betting brands in the world. They have given Russian players until March 15th to withdraw any money they have in their accounts.

Sports betting has stopped in the Russian market

The Russian online gambling 카지노사이트 추천 market is not huge. Despite this, American bookmakers believe that ending support for betting on Russian sports events will affect their sports economy.

As such, DraftKings was among the first to announce their decision to participate in a boycott of all Russian markets on their platform. Then there’s Caesar Sportsbook and FanDuel. DraftKing says:

“We no longer offer bets on sports leagues or events taking place in Russia or Belarus like the KHL.”

Illinois took bolder steps. They banned licensed sportsbooks in the region from allowing bets on Russian sports.

In addition, international betting sites such as LeoVegas, Pointsbet and Sportsbet.io have chosen to be identical to US betting sites.

These sanctions could weigh on betting markets such as the Kontinental Hockey League, Russian football (soccer), table tennis and volleyball. These are popular sports in all major countries.

But Russia’s sporting problems do not end with casino sanctions. They were set to host the UEFA Champions League final at the Gazprom Stadium on 28 May this year. UEFA instead decided to move the tournament to France.

And to end it:
